This week the Accu-Check Aviva monitor is on sale at Walgreens- I saw it for $29.99 when I was there today, but it's advertised in the paper for $14.99. There is a mail-in-rebate(MIR) in the package for $14.99 so even if you just do that it's FREE. However, when combined with the $10/1 coupon from the 11-8-09 insert you can potentially make a profit of $10 off the monitor!
I've read about people using these as money makers all the time, I guess my question for those of you who do that- WHAT do you do with the monitors? The tree hugger part of me has a hard time throwing it away, but one would think it's not safe to open, send in for the MIR and then resell... unless you know someone who has diabetes... ? I would love to donate it- but again, if it's opened due to needing the info for MIR who would take it?
I'm interested to hear though IF you've taken advantage of these deals before what you do with the meters/monitors.
happy hugging!
