Superb Sunday Savings

Superb Sunday Savings- I've never looked forward to the end of the weekend so much before!

(well they’re good all week) :)

Walgreen’s ad is out today but I tried to go right away so I would have first-hand deals to share!

I picked up 4 gallons of Nursery Water 2 for $3, $1/2 Walgreens coupons (deducts $2) and $1 off 4 Nursery Water website coupon (sign up and you can receive 2 coupons each quarter- 8 coupons a year! Plus they e-mailed me 2 extras! = $0.75 each!

Welch’s Sparkling Grape Juice - $2/7 - $2/5 with in-ad coupon, plus $2/1 internet printables = $0.50 each! We aren't having holidays here this year but it'll make an excellent addition to some wine we'll be taking to the in-laws or for that price- throw it in a gift basket!

Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers meals on sale $2/5 plus (2) $2/1 Internet printables from the Healthy Choice website = $0.50 each!
They had a very limited selection of what they carry but the sweet sesame with a little hot chili sauce is great!

Goldfish Crackers – 2/$3 – used (2) $0.75/1 printable coupons from Pepperidge farms website = $0.75 each!

Nexxus Mousse - $2.99 or 2 for $5 – Walgreen’s Coupon $4/1 = up to three FREE in one transaction

Almay foundation $9.99 ($10 in register rewards – monthly) = FREE

Breathe Right nasal strips $5.99 - adult 10 pack $2/1 Internet printable @ website = $3.99 (get $4 in Register Rewards - monthly) = FREE

Ricola Mixed Berry Cough drops $1 – (get $1 Register Rewards- weekly) = FREE
To make it even sweeter use the $0.50/1 coupon in the Healthy Savings Booklet (it is the booklet that was handed out during Flu vaccine clinics- but ask the manager- our Walgreens had extras) In this case not only are they free, you get $0.50 extra back!

I picked up a few on sale items without coupons as well as fillers Cheez-it crackers and Sandies are $0.50 (we’re leaving on a trip for Thanksgiving and I couldn’t pass up snacks for the car for $0.50!

Thankfully I had a new cashier who was very patient, I split up my transactions into 5 different ones and I made about $2.50 off the cough drops!

If you’re planning on taking advantage of the monthly Almay register rewards, cough drops, or Welch’s, I suggest you go early in the week. They didn’t have the Welch’s out yet, so I just asked if they could bring a case out, and the cough drops were already half way gone! I also got the last foundation, so never underestimate the other savvy shoppers out there, I’ve learned my lesson after I got my 6 free boxes of Kleenex last week and went to get 6 more and the 3 stores I went to were sold out!

I won’t break down every transaction, and all the Nursery water is missing from the picture as well as a few other items but TOTAL I saved $76.19 and I paid $11.10 out of pocket- AND I got $14 in register rewards from my purchases- now that’s what this is all about!

Walgreen’s is NOT a single-mom friendly store- my husband is at training in Georgia for the week and I thought it would be easy peasy – not so much, between carts that don’t fit a baby carseat, and a baby in a sling grabbing at everything- I worked up a sweat in the store and I was a hot mess, I think I’ll be saving my shopping trips for when the oldest is at school and I’m COMPLETELY organized!

i hope you're all having fabulous weekends, happy hugging!

It's true, CVS and Rite Aid are the same... you can only fit one child in the cart (and since I have 2 little ones, I could really use a bigger cart!) So, I usually bring the double stroller. It's all worth it if I get good deals though!

Yes- the deals are worth it- but next time I will be taking my big stroller in! I never even thought to bring my stroller in, it would have saved me some effort- but at least I got a workout! :)
